HCGS is highly crystalline graphene sheets dispersed in NMP solution. By liquid exfoliation, the expanded graphite is broken into small pieces of graphene. The dimension is about 0.5~5 µm and the sheet thickness is about 1~10 nm. Raman spectrum confirms that the exfoliated graphene is well crystallized, with the ratio of Id/Ig below 0.2. Fewer layer graphene can be obtained via higher centrifugation speed. The conductive graphene sheets can also be re-dispersed in other organic solvents, such as ethanol, acetone, toluene, chloroform. No surfactants or stabilizers exist on the graphene surface.
